SUBJECT CELEBRATION OF SMOG DAY ON 15TH OCTOBER, 2024

2. I am directed to inform that a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Cabinet on Smog Mitigation and Climate Resilience was held on 09.10.2024 under the chairmanship the Hon’ble Chief Minister Punjab wherein the chair directed that SMOG Day will be celebrated on 15th October, 2024 in all Public & Private Schools, Punjab A Smog Day might be a day dedicated to raising awareness about air pollution and its impact on health the environment and the climate. Moreover, after 15th October, 2024, the theme of the whole month will be “SMOG”. In this regard, following activities must be carried out on this day:-
- Awareness Seminars in schools
- Awareness walks
- Tableau
- Poster / Painting competition
- Speech competition
3. I am tuition directed to request you to ensure the implementation of the above said directions in true letter and spirit and also disseminate the directions at all levels for its strict compliance. Moreover, send the pictorial evidence of these events to this office through email at ddm2.cmmf@gmail.com till 03:00 PM on me same day.
