These trained teachers are equipped with essential skills and digital resources, including tablets preloaded with interactive content, to effectively implement play-based and child-centered teaching strategies in ECCE classrooms. 2.                           A trained teacher’s role is pivotal in shaping the early learning experience of children. It is, therefore, critical that trained teachers are deployed appropriately and supported by functional classroom environments and caregivers. In view of the above, you are kindly requested to issue the following instructions to all PHCIP schools in your district: Instructions for All PHCIP Schools: 1.            Deployment of ECCE Trained Teacher and Caregiver: All headteachers must ensure that the PHCIP-trained ECCE teacher is assigned to teach the ECCE class. The trained teacher will be responsible for classroom teaching and learning and is required to use the PHCIP-provided tablet as an instructional resource during daily classroom activities. Also ensure both the trained ECCE teacher and the caregiver are present in the ECCE classroom during school hours. 2.            Hiring of Caregivers: Headteachers of PHCIP schools who have not yet hired a female caregiver are instructed to immediately recruit a caregiver no later than July 31, 2025. This is essential, as PHCIP is planning a Refresher Training Program for Caregivers in August 2025. Timely hiring will enable the caregiver’s participation in this capacity-building initiative.
